Course “International Road Cargo Transportation”

Target audience – directors and managers of transportation and forwarding companies, specialists of transportation and logistics departments of business enterprises, individual entrepreneurs.

Main subjects:
  • Transportation laws of RK.
  • Legal regulation of contractual relations of cargo transportation by trucks.
  • Licensing system of the international road transportation operations.
  • Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road (CMR Convention).
  • Convention on the International Transport of Goods under Cover of TIR Carnets (TIR Convention, Y1975).
  • Conventions and Agreements on Road Traffic and Motorways.
  • European Agreement concerning the work of crews of vehicles engaged in international road transport (AETR).
  • Technical Regulations TR TS-018/2011 “On the Safety of Wheeled Vehicles.”
  • Transportation of specific cargo categories (hazardous, perishable, large and heavy).
  • Provisions of Customs Laws of RK, EEA and EU concerning road transportation.
  • Management and marketing on road transport
  • Financial resources of the company, business planning at the automobile company.
  • The provisions of the Tax Laws of RK, etc.
Objectives:

Occupational training of directors and managers for arranging international road transportation under a special program of IRU Academy.

Upon completion of the course and successful passing of the examination, the trainees will receive the Professional Competency Certificate (PCC) and diploma of IRU Academy, the practical and study guides are also provided.

Course “Logistics of the international road transportation”

Target audience – directors and managers of transportation and forwarding companies, specialists of transportation and logistics departments of business enterprises.

  • Organization of the transportation and forwarding servicing.
  • Contractual relationship, resolution of disputes and claims;
  • Technologies of the cargo delivery system, quality of the transportation services.

  • Outsourcing, logistic service.
  • Safe positioning and securing of cargo.
  • Costs management, cost reduction, transportation cost effectiveness.

Objectives:

Advanced training of directors and managers for arranging international road transportation of cargo using logistics.

Upon completion of the course, the trainees will receive the Professional Competency Certificate (PCC) as well as study guides and handouts.

Course “Training of consultants for safety in transportation of hazardous cargo”

Target audience – managers of transportation and forwarding companies, specialists of transportation and logistics departments of business enterprises.

Main subjects:
  • Legal basis for transportation of hazardous goods.
  • Structure of the ADR Agreement (ADR).
  • Classification of hazardous goods.
  • Packaging systems.
  • Designation, marking and table pointers.
  • Requirements for documents.
  • Requirements for compliance with the transportation conditions.
  • Requirements for motor vehicles, drivers and the procedure for admitting them to transport the dangerous goods.
  • The contents of the “TREM CART” written instruction and measures taken by a driver in emergencies.
Objectives:

Advanced training of people responsible for the safe transportation of hazardous cargoes.

Upon completion of the course, the trainees will receive the Professional Competency Certificate as well as study guides and handouts.

A course of the special training for drivers who transport hazardous cargo using the TIR Carnet

Main subjects:
  • Licensing system of the international road transportation operations.
  • Performance of contractual conditions when transporting cargoes under the CMR Convention. CMR note.
  • Abidance by the rules of the Customs TIR Convention during Transportation of Goods under Cover of TIR Carnets.
  • Responsibilities and obligations of the carrier according to the Customs Laws of RK, EEU and EU.
  • Provisions and conditions of insurance in international cargo transportation.
  • Following the work and rest schedule by drivers engaged in international road transportation of goods in accordance with the AETR Agreement. Rules for using digital tachographs.
  • Requirements for dimensions, weights of vehicles and axial loads;
  • List of documents being used in the international goods transportation.
  • Safety measures during international cargo transportation.

The lessons are held on a weekly basis on Monday from 2:00 pm to 5:30, on Tuesday, Wednesday from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. The training cost is 16,000 tenge, retraining – 8,000 tenge.

To be enrolled on the course the following should be provided: referral form from the KazATO member company, copy of ID, driver’s license and a 3×4 sized photo.

Upon completion of the course the drivers are provided with the Certificate of the International Driver and study guides.

Special training course for drivers who transport hazardous cargoes

Main subjects:
  • Legal basis for the transportation of hazardous cargoes. ADR concise structure. Rules for transportation of hazardous cargoes in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
  • Provisions regarding the special training of drivers.
  • Classification of hazardous cargoes and characteristics thereof.
  • Packing, loading, transportation and unloading of hazardous cargoes according to ADR.
  • Requirements for vehicles and the procedure for admission of them to the transportation of hazardous cargoes. Marking of vehicles.
  • The content of the written instructions and measures taken by a driver in emergency situations.
  • Documents required for the international transportation of hazardous goods.

Upon completion of the course and passing of the written examination an international ADR Certificate is provided.

The duration of the course is 2-3 days. The lessons are held on a monthly basis after a group of trainees is formed.

Cost of training: Basic course is 15,000 tenge (re-training is 10,000 tenge). Each specialized course (transportation in cisterns, transportation of explosives, radioactive and toxic materials) additionally 4,000 tenge.
