The estblishment of “Khorgos” ICBC is a breakthrough project in the non-resource sector of economy capable of ensuring a powerful impetus for the development of the entire complex of customs, transport, tourism and other infrastructure of the region and the country’s transit potential in the system of international logistics business. The establishment of the Center and its further development as the main key point of the new Eurasian bridge provides new opportunities for expanding international trade and involves the formation of a visa-free visit area for national of both states and third countries for conducting business meetings and familiarization with products produced in Kazakhstan, PRC and CIS countries, for conclusion of trade transactions and recreational activities, which will certainly cause a tremendous interest of business circles, tourists from the CIS countries and far-abroad countries. “Khorgos” ICBC will work in the near future under Free Economic Zone conditions. FEZ status has been assigned to “Khorgos” ICBC.
